Observation is not neutral
The Society believed it had built a better measuring instrument. In truth, it made a leak between incompatible rules legible, and reading widened it. There was no ritual, villain or explosion—only a report, followed by impossible life in ordinary fields.
The world frays
An esva does not slowly die here. Local gravity, light, matter or causality begins to disagree around it. Containment is urgent because waiting makes the environment less reliable. The creature is not malicious; its existence is the event.
Why the Registry is public
The old Society hid its work to protect reputations. That secrecy is the original sin. The Order therefore keeps wrong entries with their refutations, names the first confirmer and publishes the calculation that guides containment. The Registry is not a trophy shelf. It is the only product of an institution that caused the disaster.
