Mandates

The fourth cadence: how to read the verb and the target of each mandate.

reviewed 8 August 2026

What it is

The Institute's fourth cadence. Each mandate is written as verb + target: the action required and the place where it counts.

How I do it

A mandate is read before it is carried out.

  1. Open the Mandates tabActive mandates appear with their full text on the line.in gamePost → Institute → Mandates
  2. Read the verbThe verb states the action: contain, clear, harvest, register, deal, use.
  3. Read the targetThe target states where the action counts: a class, a band, a quadrant, an incursion, the Cavern, the collection, the Market.
  4. Carry out and collectProgress counts only when verb and target match together. Containing outside the target moves nothing.
In development

What is missing: on what cadence a mandate turns over and how many stay active at once.

What already holds: each mandate carries a verb and a target, and progress counts only when both match.

What I get — and what it costs

What I get
Mandate sealsCredit per mandate delivered, inside the Institute's same cadence ladder.Carry out the verb inside the written target and collect before the turnover.
What it costs
Verb and target do not splitThe right action on the wrong target does not count, and the right target with another action does not either. No mandate listMandates are drawn per account as well. The wiki publishes no catalogue.
