How the direct exchange works with escrow and how to spot fraud on the spot.

reviewed 8 August 2026

What it is

A direct exchange between two accounts with escrow: what both sides put in stays locked and only moves on double confirmation.

How I do it

Before you startBoth accounts connected The window requires both at the same time. There is no exchange by message with one side offline.required

Four steps, and none can be skipped.

  1. Open the tradeClick the other player's name, in the friend list or in chat. Both must accept.in gamePost → Trade
  2. Place the itemsThe window shows both sides. Any change drops a confirmation already given.
  3. Lock into escrowOn locking, the items leave your hands and are held. No one pulls an item back without cancelling the whole exchange.
  4. Confirm on both sidesOne confirmation missing, nothing moves. Cancelled, everything returns to its owner.

What I get — and what it costs

What I get
Executed exchangeThe agreed items change owner in a single move, with no step leaving one side exposed.Double confirmation. Escrow covers only what is inside the window.
What it costs
Rushing is fraudAnyone who rushes you, tells you to confirm first and adjust later, or promises to complete it outside the game, is running a fraud. Close the window.Support reverses only with proofA reversal depends on record: date, account name and what was agreed. Without proof, the exchange stands as done.Trade moves itemsMoney comes into the game. Money does not come out.
