Clans
What the clan really changes, what it never touches, and how to switch.
reviewed 8 August 2026
What it is
There are 3 clans: Index, Vigil and Root. The clan defines one thing only: which task pool the Institute draws from for your account.
How I do it
The choice sits at the Post and applies per account.
- Open the clan screenAll three appear side by side, each with its pool.in gamePost → Clan
- Read the pool before signingIndex pulls register and measurement. Vigil pulls containment and front line. Root pulls harvest and upkeep.
- Sign inConfirming binds the account to the clan. The new pool applies from the next draw.
- SwitchSwitching exists but is not immediate: after signing, a waiting time runs.
In development
What is missing: the exact length of the wait between one clan switch and the next.
What already holds: the switch exists, is not immediate, and the new clan only weighs from the next draw.
What I get — and what it costs
What I get
Aligned task poolThe daily, weekly, monthly and mandate draws start weighting the clan's request types.Being signed in and waiting for the next draw. Switching again costs the waiting time.
What it costs
The clan does not touch combatNo clan alters the containment calculation, the encounter on the map or the outcome of a move. The clan does not touch dropsWhat drops from hunting, from an incursion and from the Cavern is the same in all three. The clan does not touch the economyMarket, Aval, Crédito and the return of each cadence do not change with the clan. It changes the type of request, not what it pays.Switching has a waitSigning again unlocks only after the waiting time. Choose for the week, not for today's request.
