Quadrants

What a quadrant is, what it takes to enter and what it takes to win.

What it is

The quadrant is the map you actually walk: one piece of an incursion, with the set of species that appear in it. A quadrant is won by containing each of those species.

How I do it

Before you startLevel gate at entry Each quadrant requires a minimum level to open. The required level appears on the incursion map, next to the quadrant.required

How to close a quadrant from start to finish:

  1. Choose the quadrantOn the incursion map, see which quadrants are open at your level.in gameMap → Incursion
  2. Enter and contain species by speciesInside the quadrant, encounters bring the species on its list. Each species must be contained; while one is missing, the quadrant stays open.in gameMap → Incursion → Quadrant
  3. Close the listWith the last species contained, the quadrant counts as won and enters the incursion tally.
In development

What is missing: How many species each quadrant lists, and how many containments each species requires to leave the list.

What already holds: The level gate at entry and the win criterion, which is containing each species that appears in the quadrant.

What I get — and what it costs

What I get
Quadrant wonThe quadrant marked as closed, counting toward the incursion and unlocking the Chain there.Requires the level gate at entry and the containment of each species that appears in the quadrant.
What it costs
The level gate is not bypassedWithout the required level, the quadrant does not open. There is no entry by another route.Partial does not close itContaining part of the list does not win the quadrant. The tally is the whole list.
