Moves
How many moves an esva carries, how new moves open and where the swap is done.
reviewed 8 August 2026
What it is
Each esva carries four moves at a time, and that set is what automatic combat cycles. New moves open as the esva levels up.
How I do it
Before you startLevel gate per move Each move opens at a level of the esva. Below that level, it does not appear in the available list.required
How to open a new move and slot it in:
- Level the esvaThe esva levels up through quadrant encounters. New moves open along the way.in gameMap → Incursion → Quadrant
- Return to the Home Post and open the listOn the esva sheet, the four slots appear next to the moves already opened by level.in gameHome Post → Moves
- Slot it inPut the new move in one of the four slots. The swap costs nothing and can be redone as many times as you want.
In development
What is missing: At which level each move opens, and whether a move removed from a slot returns to the available list.
What already holds: The four slots, moves opening by level, and the free swap at the Home Post.
What I get — and what it costs
What I get
Four move slotsThe set the esva cycles in automatic combat, rebuilt as many times as you want at the Home Post. The swap costs nothing, but there are four slots: bringing one move in means taking another out.
What it costs
Four is the ceilingThere is no fifth slot. Opening a new move does not widen the set: it stays at four.Swap only at the Home PostInside the quadrant and inside the encounter no move is swapped. The set stands as it left the Home Post.
