How combat works
Who acts inside the encounter and what is still your call.

What it is
Combat is automatic and turnless: the esva at the front of the party cycles the four equipped moves on its own. Your input is position, not the move.
How I do it
Before you startOne standing esva in the party With all six down, you return to the Home Post.required
What you execute before and between encounters:
- Enter and take a positionOpen the quadrant and walk to the point where you want to stay. Combat only exists inside a quadrant.in gameMap → Incursion → Quadrant
- Let the cycle runWhen a wild esva appears, the encounter opens on its own and the esva cycles the four moves. There is no move button.how oftenevery encounter
- Step in between encountersReposition, or return to the Home Post to heal and change party and moves. Inside the encounter there is no swap.
In development
What is missing: The target-picking criterion when there is more than one wild esva in the same encounter.
What already holds: The four-move cycle and the automatic resolution work as described above.
What I get — and what it costs
What I get
Clickless combatThe encounter opens, resolves and closes on its own, and the result counts toward the containment of the species in the quadrant.Requires one standing esva and you inside the quadrant. In exchange, you do not choose which move fires.
What it costs
The cycle order is not yoursThere is no command to force a specific move mid-encounter, and no pause to react.
