IVs and potential
Explains the six IVs an esva is born with, how the potential is summed, and what levelling does not change in them.

What it is
The IV is an esva's inborn talent: one per stat, six in all. The sum of the six is the potential, and it stays the same from the first level to the last.
How I do it
To read an esva's IVs and potential:
- Open the esva sheetThe six IVs appear as bars, one for each stat.in gameParty → Esva sheet → IV
- Read bar by barEach bar is the talent for that stat alone. A high bar on one stat says nothing about the other five.
- Sum the six for the potentialThe potential is the sum of the six bars. It lets you compare two esvas in one go, without walking through stat by stat.
- Lock the IV before breedingIn cultivation there is an item that locks one inherited IV: the chosen IV passes from the parent to the egg instead of being drawn.in gameCultivation → Breeding
In development
What is missing: the name of the item that locks the inherited IV in breeding
What already holds: the item exists, sits in cultivation, and fixes one parent IV into the egg
What I get — and what it costs
What I get
Inherited-IV lockA cultivation item that fixes one parent IV so it passes to the egg instead of being drawn.Applies per breeding and only to the chosen IV.
What it costs
The IVs are inbornThe six IVs are fixed when the esva hatches or is contained. Levelling moves none of them. The potential does not riseSince the potential is the sum of the six IVs, it sits still from the first level to the last. The lock consumes the itemEach breeding with a locked IV spends the item. Without it, inheritance goes back to being drawn.
