Apparatus
How to equip an apparatus, why the slot is single, and how two identical ones become one of the tier above.

What it is
Apparatus is the item an esva carries in its slot: one esva, one apparatus. It exists to tell apart esvas of the same species without touching the species.
How I do it
Before you startApparatus in the collection You only equip what is already in your collection.required
Step by step to equip and to fuse:
- Pick it in the collectionOpen the collection and pick the apparatus. Each apparatus has a tier.in gameCollection → Apparatus
- Equip it on the esvaPut the apparatus in the esva's slot. The item leaves your collection and stays with the esva while equipped.in gameParty → esva → Apparatus
- SwapThe slot is single: to put another in, take out the one that is there. There is no second slot.in gameParty → esva → Apparatus
- Fuse two identical onesTwo identical apparatus of the same tier fuse into a single apparatus of the tier above. Two go in, one comes out.in gameCollection → Apparatus
What I get — and what it costs
What I get
Equipped apparatusThe esva starts carrying the item in its slot, and two identical apparatus of the same tier become one of the tier above. One apparatus per esva. The item leaves the collection and stays with the esva while equipped.
What it costs
Single slotAn esva carries one apparatus. Putting in a second means taking out the first. It leaves the collectionWhile it is with the esva, the apparatus is not available to any other esva.Fusion consumes bothIn a fusion, the two source apparatus stop existing separately: what remains is the one of the tier above. It competes with RuptureThe Rupture Reagent takes the same slot. A ruptured esva carries no apparatus.
