Level and XP
Where an esva's XP comes from, how far the level goes and how the initiated esva gets its share.

What it is
An esva gains levels by hunting: every resolved fight credits XP to the esva that was in the field. The level has a ceiling, and once there the esva keeps hunting without adding XP.
How I do it
Before you startAn esva in the party XP is credited to the esva that is in the party and goes to the field. An esva kept in the collection does not gain levels.required
XP comes in like this:
- Put the esva in the fieldWhoever fights is whoever receives. The active esva in the quadrant is the one adding the fight's XP.in gameParty → esva
- Close out the fightXP is credited when the fight resolves. A fight cut off midway credits nothing.in gameQuadrant → Combat
- Keep the initiated esva in the partyThe initiated esva does not go to the field and still receives a share of the lead esva's XP. That is how a new esva keeps up with the party without entering the fight.in gameParty
- Read the level on the sheetThe esva sheet shows the current level and whether it is already at the ceiling. From the ceiling on, XP no longer adds.in gameParty → Esva sheet

What is missing: the XP curve per level, the value of the ceiling and the size of the share the initiated esva receives.
What already holds: levels come from hunting, a ceiling exists, and the initiated esva receives a share of the lead esva's XP.
